The Mississippi Blues Commission presents the story of Dockery Farms, the ‘birthplace of the blues’. Narrated by B.B. King the film examines how the community at a plantation founded in 1895 become a magnet for blues musicians like Willie Brown, Son House & Charlie Patton.
The film is just one in series featuring monumental places and people from Mississippi in the history of some of America’s finest music.

PBS Digital Studios presents Blank on Blank. a series that takes recorded conversations with notable individuals and matches them with quirky and thoughtful animations. Slam dunk PBS.
Today would be President John F. Kennedy‘s 98th birthday. In honor, we present ‘The Silly Bastard Next to the Bed’ by filmmaker Scott Calonico.
Munich based design studio, Kurzgesagt, designs some of my favorite infographic videos. German for “in a nutshell,” Kurzgesagt was founded in 2013 by Philipp Dettmer & Stephan Rether. Through the combination of eye popping colors, minimalist animation and a plethora of consumable facts, they create videos that are entertaining and informative.
