Face the Litter: Billboards Shame Litterbugs with DNA From Trash

The South China Morning Post is reporting on an anti-littering campaign in Hong Kong that uses DNA from trash collected on the street to generate digital portraits of the litterbugs onto billboards across the city. The campaign was apart of the Hong Kong Cleanup Initiative for Earth Day of this year. The goal of the billboards is to shame litterbugs into picking up after themselves and to raise the awareness of litter as an individual and community issue.
